Saturday, July 1 through Sunday, July 16 The Rachel Alert Network will have a table at the Back to School Health Fair again this year. The fair will be at the Cantu-Pan Am Recreation Center at 2100 East Third Street in Austin on Saturday, August 5, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. RAN will provide information on child and adult safety.We are still hoping to schedule a M.U.S.T. self-defense and awareness seminar in August, but I don't have any details yet. The information page on rachelalert.org and this journal will be updated when we have a date and location set. Monday, July 17 through Monday, July 31 I confirmed our reservation at the Back to School Health Fair on Saturday, August 5, 2006. The fair will be at the Cantu-Pan Am Recreation Center, 2100 East 3rd Street in Austin from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There is usually a huge turnout. Rachel Alert Network will hand out safety information as well as stickers and school pencils.I also registered RAN for the Georgetown Christmas Stroll on Saturday, December 2, 2006. We will be doing another bake sale fund-raiser. We are hoping that the Law Enforcement Training classes will resume this fall. Project Jason is working really hard to get enough registrations for the Omaha, Nebraska, class in October. Without any government or private funding the registrations have to pay for the class. Our instructors fly in from all across the United States. |
