The Search for Rachel, a father's journal

Wednesday, June 1 through Sunday, June 5

I haven't received any RSVPs for the July 12 M.U.S.T. self-defense and awareness seminar. I hope reservations pick up, or we may have to postpone the seminar to a later date.

Rachel Alert Network has been invited to two back-to-school children's safety fairs next month. We like to attend the fairs and distribute safety information about general safety and abductions. I will post the dates and locations of the fairs in a future journal entry. So far over 2,000 people have visited our booths at various activities.

I found out some additional information about the Modesto, CA, missing person training class for law enforcement. Two of the investigators assigned to the Laci Peterson case will actually be doing the case study on it. It should be very interesting. This class will take place in Modesto on July 11 and 12.

Monday, June 6 through Sunday, June 12

We had a small turnout for this Sunday's M.U.S.T. self-defense and awareness seminar. Our instructor taught the group both beginner and advanced techniques. I am working with several people to schedule future M.U.S.T. seminars in Central Texas.

The Modesto, CA, missing person training class is fully approved, and I have made my plane reservations. It should be an interesting class with the Laci Peterson case addition. While the murder of Laci and Conner was a horrible thing, maybe we can learn from it.

Monday, June 12 through Sunday, June 19

A few more requests for M.U.S.T. seminars have come in. We will soon be scheduling classes for the late summer and fall. All of the seminars are announced well in advance on rachelalert.org/must.

Texas EquuSearch has announced that it will be traveling to Aruba to search for missing Natalee Holloway. I will post more information on this as it develops.

Monday, June 20 through Sunday June 26

Texas EquuSearch's upcoming trip to Aruba has generated a lot of new activity on Rachel's web- site. Many new people are finding out about Rachel's story and reading my journal. I always like to have new people read about Rachel's story because one of those people might hear or see something that helps solve the case.

This month I have added a few new missing persons to the links pages on rachelalert.org and rachelcookesearch.org. Some of the cases are new, and some are older cases that have received renewed interest.

We received a donation check from the Miss Georgetown Pageant. Rachel Alert Network was selected for its "People's Choice Award" this year. I'd like to thank the pageant for its support for missing persons and public safety.

Monday, April 27 through Thursday, April 30

I received a request for frequent flyer mile donations for searchers who are going to Aruba to search for missing Natalee Holloway. There is no U.S.A. or Aruba government assistance for search. This a small way an average person can help with the search for Natalee.

I will be glad to pass donation offers to Texas EquuSearch. Anyone who is interested in donating airline miles please e-mail info@rachelalert.org . Cash donations for the TES Aruba trip may be made to http://www.texasequusearch.org/DonateNow.htm.
